Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

As a church, we believe serving is an essential part of our spiritual formation, which is another way of saying it helps us to become more like Jesus.  Our goal is to have EVERYONE at Renovation serving somewhere and making it a regular practice in their lives. As we give of ourselves, whether it is our time, money, resources, or attention, we are drawn more into the heart of Christ for our brothers and sisters and our community.

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

No one is useless in the area of serving.  Everyone has talents and abilities that are to be used for the Kingdom of God and we want to help you find, deepen, explore, and put those things into action!

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

Volunteering at Renovation begins with interest and then to action. If you feel led to step up and serve somewhere in our church, please fill out an interest form and we will contact you and help you jump into the area you are interested in, or walk you through the process of finding where you could fit best!

How do I volunteer with kids?

Some of the most important leaders at Renovation are in our Kids Ministry.  Do you have a heart for helping young children understand the Bible and God's love for them?  Willing to have little ones clinging to you on Sunday mornings?  Interested in protecting and caring for the youngest in our family? Then contact Emily Youngs to begin taking the steps to leading our kids!

How do I volunteer with young adults?

Often seen as the "forgotten" age group, our 18-25 year-old gathering is all about connecting our emerging adults with others who are trying to follow Jesus in the same, transitory stage of life.  If you are post-college and are willing to challenge and support our early college and career attendees, contact Pastor Scott.

How do I volunteer with worship?

Play an instrument? Enjoy singing? Maybe you are interested in the tech side of our worship gatherings instead? We are always looking for more leaders to step up in this area. If you are looking to serve in this capacity, please use the link below to start the process.

How do I volunteer with students?

More than just a warm body, our student ministry leaders are the key to what happens in our middle and high school groups.  Each leader is connected to a small group of students and called to do life with them, showing up regularly, mentally, and sometimes offsite at student events.  We are not looking for the coolest person, but rather the one who has a heart for sharing their faith authentically and coming alongside students who are seeking and growing

How do I volunteer in our community?

There are many options for serving in our nearby communities with Renovation. We have ministries at Colonial Acres mobile home park, the Edison Neighborhood, and at Woodland Elementary.  If you are interested in any of these options or want to find out about others, contact Pastor Bekki for more details.
